Leneil Roderique
By ADCOLOR July 28, 2020 |Leneil Roderique crafts stories that help brands make an impact in the world. As a senior creative at VICE Media Group, Leneil’s work sits at the intersection of human-centered storytelling and audience insights, to ultimately create powerful narratives for brands in the form of documentary-style films, editorial articles, photo diaries, and experiential events to name a few. He believes the symbiotic relationship between the teller and the listener has the ability to cultivate human connections, shift behaviors, and transform life as we know it. That’s why he values telling overlooked, diverse stories: to provide a platform for (people of) overlooked identities to be heard, acknowledged and revered. To achieve the most truthful and thoughtful versions of these stories, he fights daily to have them crafted by people of overlooked identities. These values have manifested for Leneil in the form of advertising campaigns for brands like State Farm, Adidas, Levis, Mailchimp, U.S Census, etc.
Outside of his daily responsibilities at work, Leneil is also a co-lead for the HR division of VICE Media Group’s People of Color Employee Resource Group, actively working to bring more POCs through our doors and retain their talent by hosting workshops and building relationships between people inside and outside of VICE.
Leneil Roderique is currently pursuing a certificate in corporate finance at NYU and received his B.A in American Studies from Wesleyan University, where he grew to value social impact and creativity. To continue to nurture his creativity outside of work, he spends time pursuing film photography.
