By ADCOLOR August 29, 2019 |Actress-writer-comedian Kimrie Lewis is a Los Angeles native and a 3rd grade spelling be champ. Kimrie is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Kimrie is a series regular on the new ABC comedy Single Parents which premieres after Modern Family in Fall 2018. For the past five seasons, she has played Reporter Ashley on ABC’s Scandal. Kimrie has made memorable TV guest appearances on FOX, NBC, ABC, including The Mindy Project, New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, and the TBS comedy, The Detour. Her breakout film role was the character Meg in Lionsgate’s Peeples, alongside Kerry Washington, Craig Robinson, and David Alan Grier. Kimrie guest-stars on this season of NBC’s Superstore, Brockmire (IFC), and the new feature film #2MinutesOfFame, starring Jay Pharoah and Katt Williams. Kimrie currently writes on a new webseries from Kevin Hart’s network LOL, called The Donors. As a stand-up comedian, she performs at clubs and colleges across the country.
