Erica Hansen Agenda 2023
By ADCOLOR November 3, 2023 |As Director of Marketing Strategy at the Walt Disney Studios, Erica Hansen leads comprehensive marketing campaigns, develops strategies, and manages filmmaker and production relationships for the Studio’s theatrical films. She joined the company in 2019 from 20th Century Studios and currently leads all films in the Avatar franchise, including the most recent Oscar-winning 20th Century Studios film, “Avatar: The Way of Water”.
Erica is a dynamic marketing strategist with 17+ years of media and entertainment experience. Before joining Disney in 2019, Erica was Executive Director of International Marketing Partnerships at 20th Century Fox, where she was responsible for creating the brand partnership strategies for various films, including “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Alita: Battle Angel”, “Predator”, and “Red Sparrow” as well as DreamWorks Animation films such as “Trolls” and “The Boss Baby”. She has successfully launched partnerships with dozens of major brands including Mercedes-Benz, NYX Professional Makeup, Adobe, PepsiCo, Fiat and iHop. Prior to 20th Century Fox, Erica held positions at Universal Orlando Resort in Global Promotions, where she was part of the launch team for both The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Diagon Alley, and at Warner Media where she worked in television advertising sales at TBS, TNT and truTV.
Erica was an inaugural member of the Disney Studio Marketing’s Center of Excellence for multicultural marketing, rePRESENT. For the past three years, she has also served as a mentor for the Disney On The Yard Mentorship Program, developing connections with HBCU student talent and creating opportunities to strengthen their relationship with Disney. Additionally, she was nominated and selected for the prestigious 20th Century Fox High Performance Accelerated Leadership Program.
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in Management and Organizational Communications.
