    Astrid Andujar

    By June 27, 2019 |

Astrid is a Dominican-born, New York based creative. Her first job was crafting beach souvenirs with her mom when she was 6.
She moved to New York but the tropical trinket business had zero market appeal in the South Bronx, so she enrolled in art school to better market her craft.

She currently calls Spotify her home, where she works on global campaigns as an Associate Creative Director. Prior, she worked with talented folks at Grey, McCann and Droga5— working on award-winning projects including a dog adoption campaign for Facebook, an immersive art installation for Thorne, an at-home Broadway musical fundraiser for essential workers and a film for Shine, a self-care app geared towards issues faced by marginalized communities. As a side project she campaigned to Diversify The Handshake, an initiative to include multi-racial handshakes in the emoji library (coming to a phone near you in 2022).

Most recently she was named Next Creative Leader 2020 by the 3% Conference & The One Club. She’s a proud member of the ADCOLOR Advisory Board, a mentor at ONE School and The Knowledge House.

Although her mom paved the way for her career path, like all parents, she still doesn’t quite “get it” but agrees it beats selling souvenirs.
