Michele Ghee is the Chief Content Officer at Essence Ventures, overseeing content strategy for Essence Magazine, Essence.com, Essence Music Festival, Essence Studios, and the Essence YouTube Channel. A dynamic media executive, she has generated over a billion dollars in revenue at Ebony and Jet, Allen Media Group, CNN, A&E, The History Channel, and BET Networks, where she launched BETHer, the first network for Black women. Her mission is to lead people, transform communities, and drive revenue. Ghee is an accomplished author and recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Golden Gate University. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and children.
