Mandy is the oldest of 7 children of a Deaf father who immigrated from Central America after losing his hearing as a toddler. Not only is Mandy’s first language ASL, she spent her life advocating and interpreting for her father, and witnessing first hand the gap in communication faced by the Deaf community.
