A graduate of FIDM, Aminah Musa used her degree in Fashion Product Development to launch her brand, PaliRoots, alongside her brother, Hussein, that is focused on preserving the rich heritage of Palestine and giving back to those most in need living in her ancestral homeland. As much as it was her education that instilled in her the skill sets needed to create and run a successful company, it was her humble beginnings of growing up in Southside Chicago that maintain Aminah’s drive to push forward in not only becoming a successful entrepreneur but in creating a legacy that would be known for doing good social justice work. To date, Aminah and the PaliRoots team have donated over 2.5M meals to refugee children through their meal program, and PaliRoots has become the go-to destination for Palestinian cultural education and products.
