Throughout its history, Black voices have elevated the genre of country music with little recognition or fanfare. In his Amazon Original documentary For Love and Country, director Joshua Kissi explores country music’s complicated past and how the music industry helped to reframe the true story of the genre, its artists, and its fans. Amazon Music’s Global Head of Editorial Raymond Roker, will join Kissi, along with Country Music Weekly host Amber Anderson, will discuss the important work directors and creatives are doing to help recenter diverse narratives in music today.
