Sayid Abdullaev
By ADCOLOR June 25, 2019 |Sayid Abdullaev is a product marketing manager at Google, where he works on brand and policy strategy for YouTube. Motivated by his personal experience as a refugee, Sayid has founded multiple initiatives for LGBTQ asylum seekers and refugees and helped raise over 1 million USD for a variety of social causes. Previously, he worked as a consultant at the United Nations, focusing on the World Humanitarian Summit and youth empowerment programs. As a refugee, he overcame homelessness and violence which galvanized him to become a human rights advocate, utilizing his story to inspire people to take action to protect LGBTQ refugees and asylum seekers. He has been recognized by multiple organizations and foundations, including former US presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, for excellence in global activism. Sayid has recently ranked #4 on the Financial Times Outstanding TOP 30 Rising LGBT Leaders. Sayid is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School’s Venture Management Fellowship and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Point Scholarship to complete his bachelor’s degree in political science and entrepreneurship.
