    Valeisha Butterfield Jones

    Valeisha Butterfield Jones is a nationally recognized technology executive and entertainment leader widely credited for her community engagement expertise and work as a youth and women’s activist. Valeisha currently serves as the Head of Black Community Engagement for technology giant Google and as the Chief Executive Officer of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN). Valeisha formerly served as the National Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Alzheimer’s Association, in the Obama Administration as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for International Trade and on President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign as the National Youth Vote Director, where she played a leadership role in helping to secure one of the largest youth voter turnouts in American history. Valeisha’s career began working for entertainment pioneer Russell Simmons, serving as the Executive Director of the philanthropic arm of Rush Communications for more than seven years bridging the gap between popular culture and community activism with the Hip Hop Summit Action Network. Valeisha has been recognized by Essence Top 40 under 40, Ebony Magazine’s Power 100, Jet, Marie Claire, Glamour and Elle Magazines, Black Entertainment Television, TVOne, Aspire TV and others.
