Katie Hinman is VP of development for the CNN Originals group which develops, produces and acquires original, unscripted programming for CNN Worldwide. A pioneer of CNN’s production studio, she oversees the Emmy® nominated FlashDocs unit & CNN Audio, home of the global news organization’s award-winning podcasts.Hinman’s TV and film work has been honored with two Emmy® Awards and ten nominations, an Overseas Press Club award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, a Peabody Award, and a Gracie Award. She has served on the Council on Foreign Relations and on the board for 826DC, a nonprofit devoted to inspiring students to write.
